We are of course truly honoured to receive this seal of quality for outstanding product design. Our products provide daylight and fresh air to improve peoples’ quality of life, that is at the core of our brand. With the Red Dot Label, we can raise awareness about the quality of our products - in this case the VELUX Modular Skylight Step Solution - and associate our brand with good design.

Multiple rows of skylight modules connected create a large glass roof

As the product name indicates, the new VELUX Step Solution has a unique step structure where multiple rows of skylight modules can be connected to create a large glass roof. It is characterized by a minimalistic design with a coherent and elegant structure with thin supporting beams.

We designed the VELUX Step Solution to offer our customers an elegant solution with maximum daylight for larger glazed areas. We have thereby expanded our solution range from modules installed side by side to this unique step structure. Our mounting system connects the modules closer, and the flashings ensures a watertight solution in the significant elegant VELUX Modular Skylights design.

The new VELUX Step Solution is a technologically advanced product, specifically suited to commercial and public buildings, both new build and refurbishment.

The new solution is available in three different configurations:

  • Step Longlight 5-25°
  • Step Ridgelight 25°
  • Step Ridgelight 5-25° on Girder.

Due to hidden actuators, the venting modules appear identical to fixed modules when closed, creating a sleek and uniform aesthetic. Factory-finished flashings between each row ensures effective drainage of water from the roof. The installation of the new Step Solution creates vibrant spaces and openness with natural light in, for instance, public buildings.
