After more than 10 years in the carpentry and joinery business, CM Byg A/S aimed to establish an expressive building that fits their company goals of creating an inviting and sustainable working environment.
Central to the project was to embrace well-being, achieve increased focus, and enhance productivity by introducing more daylight and improving indoor air quality.
Sustainability was also at the centre of the office design: lightweight construction materials, solar panels, heat pumps, and daylight contribute to reduced energy consumption and less reliance on electricity.
A stylish and friendly domicile for customers and employees
Eight Modular Rooflights provide daylight and fresh air within several premises of the building, including the office units and the reception hall. These single-unit rooflights combine functionality with modern design and a sleek look, giving the building a future-proof outer shell as well as flooding the interior with natural light.
The rooflights create a welcoming and peaceful environment where potential clients and employees have a positive user experience of the building — a pleasant place to return to and revisit for their daily work.
The largest glass rooflight was installed in the wooden ceiling of the entrance area, which creates an impressive effect. It connects the indoor space with the outside and provides a view towards the sky with its transparent glazing.
They trusted in the proven product
The installers were CM Byg A/S themselves. They chose VELUX Commercial as they had already had positive experiences with VELUX products, because of their quality and the wide choice of configuration options. On the other hand, they were also familiar with the advantages of the easy installation of the rooflights. The construction had a tight schedule that they managed to keep throughout the project, and the building was completed on time.
