Modern glass roof construction for a historic building
With the conversion of a historic boiler house from 1942, all factory halls of the former leather goods company have now been refurbished for modern office use. In order to make optimal use of the space, an intermediate floor with gallery was installed in the 6-metre-high hall. This allowed the office space to be increased to a total of 800 m2, so that the former factory now offers light-flooded office space for an architecture firm and legal practice.
- The open roof structure of the industrial building was preserved and has been expertly modernised and equipped with VELUX Modular Skylights.
- 32 Ridgelight modules supply the hall with optimal daylight.
- Blind and ventilation options via remote control enable users to individually control the indoor climate.
New dark lattice windows underline the ambience of the historic building and gives the facade a contemporary look.
