Modern skylight solution for modern working

Fifteen employees of an architecture firm have moved into a former fire station building which dates back to 1903. The building has been converted into a bright, modern office space.

In order to create more spacious rooms, the inner walls of the main building were removed as part of the renovation work. The entire building was also clad with internal insulation.

Through the opening of the roof and the installation of VELUX Modular Skylights, daylight penetrates deep into the interior of the rooms and ensures comfortable, natural lighting.

The VELUX Ridgelight solution runs along the centre of the building, providing natural lighting for the offices and gallery as well as the archive space on the first floor. Four of the modules can be opened for natural ventilation.

The skylights played a key role in transforming the fire station into a modern office space.
