Vario Norm continuous rooflights provide a single source of daylight
A new sports and leisure attraction has opened in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria. Jump World One is a dynamic sports centre with a trampoline park that includes 90 jump areas. This large hall is open plan and covers a total area of more than 5,000 square metres across two floors. This includes play areas, a fitness space, dance school and changing rooms.
A multipurpose space with daylight at its centre
Jump World One was built by the Tyrolean Pletzer Group in cooperation with Goldbeck Rhomberg GmbH who handled the installation of the 55-metre Vario Norm continuous rooflight to provide a single source of daylight. Prefabricated for easy installation on site, these lightweight rooflights are ideal for large flat roofs.
Reduced glare and smoke ventilation for extra safety
The sports hall has a steel structure with truss beams and facade panels. Vario Norm continuous rooflights create a sense of time and connect people to the outdoors while also supplying the room with diffuse daylight. In rooms where sports are played, diffused daylight is important to avoid glare and prevent accidents. During sporting activities, it is also important to create a healthy and pleasant indoor climate. Nine integrated venting units provide comfort ventilation throughout the hall.
In the event of an emergency, the dissipation of heat and toxic gases is achieved through smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (SHEV). The certified SHEV system is a significant component of the hall's safety and fire protection concept. VELUX Commercial not only supplied and installed the system but will also carry out annual mandatory maintenance of the SHEV system by certified technicians. Dome rooflights provide the stairwell with natural light from above and ensure smoke and heat extraction in the event of a fire.
